LEGACY POINTS

How Legacy works

  • Complete Legacy Challenges across several categories to earn Legacy Points — goals such as leveling a specific class or reaching a skill milestone, built around the journey you already play.
  • Legacy Points are shared across all your alts, while each character spends them separately in their own trees.
  • At launch each character can spend up to 16 points. You can keep completing challenges past that limit and earn up to 65 points; the extra goes toward the Legacy Reward Track.
  • Collections and Legacy Points are shared account-wide across rulesets (Normal, PvP, RP). Hardcore progress carries over to other rulesets, but not the other way around.
  • None of the perks affect combat. Most are passive, with a few activated abilities such as Dedicated Study.Reported

CHALLENGES

Legacy Challenges

Like achievements, each goal you complete across these categories earns 1 Legacy Point.

  • Exploring
  • Leveling classes
  • Increasing tradeskills
  • Earning PvP ranks
  • Maximizing reputations
  • Completing dungeons and raids

In the tradeskill category, you earn 1 point the first time you reach 150, 225 and 300 in Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking or Tailoring.Reported

REWARD TRACK

Legacy Reward Track

  • Earning points over time unlocks cosmetic and prestige rewards such as the Spectral Bear Cub. They follow your total points earned, regardless of how many you spend, and give no competitive advantage.
  • Rewards seen in the demo: Spectral Bear Cub pet, Spectral Bear tabard, Reins of the Spectral Bear mount, and a Replica Ironforge Air Rifle that stuns other players and keeps score.Reported

ROADMAP

What's coming

  • New challenges, perks and ways to spend points are planned, along with higher spending caps, new options in existing trees and possibly entirely new trees.
  • A tree specifically for Hardcore has also been mentioned.Reported
