Blizzard community manager Kaivax announced on Nov 4 (Wed), 6:43 PM PST that a hotfix has removed the restrictions hitting players who joined with an Invite-a-Friend Code.

With a hotfix that is now live, we’ve fixed an issue where players who joined WoW Forever by using an Invite-a-Friend Code were unexpectedly restricted from using certain chat channels, leveling past 10, participating in guilds, forming parties, or trading items with other players.

If you experienced this, you may wish to log out and back into WoW Forever.

Thank you!

What this means for players

• Accounts that joined with an Invite-a-Friend Code can now use chat channels, level past 10, join guilds, form parties and trade items.
• If you are still blocked, log out and log back in to pick up the hotfix.
