Developer Q&A recap — no GDKP, 10 & 20-player raids every tier
What the developers confirmed about Forever in the Q&A live stream right before the beta opened.
Dungeons & raids
- Every tier gets both a 10-player and a 20-player raid. The 10-player raids have plenty of bosses.
- One difficulty for dungeons and raids, and no Flex raiding at launch.
- 40-player raids return starting with Onyxia’s Lair — but not every tier.
- No cross-faction play: the Horde and Alliance hate each other.
PvP
- No Rated PvP. Instead, a new PvP track that resets every season (tier).
- Honor gains are being adjusted so sitting in Alterac Valley isn’t the best option.
- A new battleground with its own reputation.
Transmog
- Silhouettes are kept: you can only transmog cloth over cloth, plate over plate, and so on.
- You can save several appearances per slot in a set, and the matching one applies when you swap armor types.
Economy
- GDKP is not allowed. Blizzard also plans to crack down hard on gold buyers.
- Tarnished Undermine Reals — the Season of Discovery dungeon currency — are coming back. How to earn them hasn’t been shared yet.
A weekly podcast with Josh Greenfield and Josh Corbett runs for the six weeks of the beta. The full schedule is on the home page roadmap.
