Blizzard: Legacy Points for Beta Testing
Community manager Kaivax posted a new forum topic about Legacy Points. Blizzard will hand beta testers a batch of points so they can try the Legacy trees without first leveling several classes and clearing dungeons.
What changes for players
- Every beta tester gets 16 Legacy Points. That equals the launch cap a single character can spend in the trees, so once the grant lands every character can fill its trees all the way.
- Blizzard only said it will happen "in a future week of the Beta". We will post again once a date is announced.
- Once applied, the grant stays until the beta ends. There is less reason to level several classes or farm dungeons just to earn points through Legacy Challenges.
- Points are shared across every character on the account, while each character spends them in its own trees. To plan what to take ahead of time, use the Legacy calculator.

Over the first two weeks of the WoW Forever Beta, we’ve seen an increasing number of testers pushing to earn points in the Legacy system.
In a future week of the Beta, we’re planning to grant all testers 16 Legacy points so that the system can be tested without first requiring a great deal of leveling different classes, clearing dungeons, etc.
Once applied, we expect to keep that grant in place until the end of the Beta.
