Level 40 weapons at level 30: every class's weapon quests in one place
Some quests hand out item level 40 to 43 weapons with no level requirement, so you can equip them the moment you finish, even at the level 30 cap. Most of them sit at the top of the weapon slot in the site's level 30 BiS. Hover a name for the tooltip, click it for a link to the quest.
Warrior: Whirlwind Weapon
Starts at level 30 with The Islander from your class trainer, sends you to Fray Island in the Barrens and then to Bath'rah the Windwatcher in the Alterac Mountains. After defeating the elite Cyclonian, The Summoning and Whirlwind Weapon let you pick one of three two-handers. The axe is Arms' #1 weapon.

Shaman: The Tempest's Weapons
A Shaman-only chain that starts at level 30 with Call of Air from your trainer. It goes through Razorfen Kraul, Twisted Totems from four zones and an elite fight in Thousand Needles, and ends with The Tempest's Weapons: choose one of three weapons and always get the shield.

Staves and maces: the Magram chain
The Magram chain in Desolace. The new Forever part needs Honored with the Magram. Proof of Concept midway and Khan Jehn at the end each let you pick one reward: the end reward has the #1 staff for Mages and Warlocks and the #1 mace for Balance Druids, Shadow Priests and Elemental Shamans.

Melee weapons: the Gelkis chain
The rival Gelkis chain, also in Desolace, needs Honored with the Gelkis for its Forever part. Test Your Theory midway and Khan Jehn at the end each let you pick one reward. The end reward has the #1 one-handed mace for Protection and Fury Warriors, Combat Rogues and bear Druids.

Wands and off-hands: Scarlet Monastery Library
All three need a book from inside the Library. Rituals of Power leads to Mage's Wand, a Mage-only quest where you pick an Arcane, Fire or Frost wand. Test of Lore ends with Final Passage (Horde). Compendium of the Fallen is Horde only, and only Orcs, Tauren and Trolls can take it.

Changing Tastes (Horde) in the Excavation Site, Call to Arms (Horde) at Hammerfall in the Arathi Highlands and Stopping the Cycle (Alliance) in the Wetlands reward the top daggers.
