Choose a spec

Pick the spec you'll level as. Each spec has its own talents, professions, gear and way to fight.

• CombatDamageRecommendedLv 20 · 3/8/0→Combat is the most complete rogue spec at level 20. All three core abilities, Sinister Strike, Slice and Dice and Eviscerate, are available, and you lean heavily on auto attacks. You don't have Blade Flurry for cleave yet. Keep a slow sword, mace, axe or fist weapon up to date, and craft your own leather armor with Skinning and Leatherworking.
• AssassinationDamageLv 20 · 0/9/2→Assassination is weak at level 20: key tools such as Mutilate, Venom and Seal Fate are not available yet. Level with a dagger in your main hand and Backstab as your main builder. Keep your main-hand weapon up to date, and craft your own leather armor with Skinning and Leatherworking.
• SubtletyDamageLv 20 · 0/9/2→Subtlety is weak at level 20: you have neither your main builder Hemorrhage nor the talents that power up Rupture, Serrated Blades and Thousand Cuts. Level with a dagger in your main hand, fighting with big Backstab and Ambush hits. Keep your main-hand weapon up to date, and craft your own leather armor with Skinning and Leatherworking.
