Blizzard replies to the druid Cat Form quest thread: hotfix for relics that could not be looted

On the evening of October 15 (Pacific Time), a forum thread titled "Druid cat form quest" was posted. The original poster wrote that the Relic of the Fang still could not be looted, so the quest The Great Cat Spirit could not be completed and Cat Form could not be unlocked.

Other players confirmed the same thing. Some said one of the relics in the cave always showed no loot, others said layer swapping, teleporting, and logging in early in the morning did not help, and others described 50 to 100 druids lined up at the idol waiting. One player said the bug had lasted at least five days on PvE servers, noting that the same issue on September 28 had been fixed within a day.

Players suggested temporary fixes until the quest worked, such as letting class trainers sell Cat Form or completing the quest when any idol is looted. A few minutes before Blizzard's reply, one player posted that it was working now and that a group of players who had been waiting had just gotten it.

Blizzard community manager Kaivax replied:

We sent a hotfix to the Beta a few minutes ago that fixed the bug preventing druids from looting the relics necessary to acquire Cat Form.
