Pick the spec you'll level as. Each spec has its own talents, professions, gear and way to fight.

• RetributionDamageRecommendedLv 20 · 0/0/11→Retribution fights with a simple loop: dump Holy Strike and Judgement on cooldown. Judgement doesn't consume your Seal, so you only reapply it when it expires, and Consecration at 20 lets you handle groups. At 20 the paladin feels quite strong compared to many other classes. Gear comes from Strength drops in dungeons and Blacksmithing Crusader armor.
• HolyHealerLv 20 · 11/0/0→Even as Holy you quest with auto-attacks plus Judgement and Holy Strike. Up to 19 your only heal is Holy Light, which is too expensive and slow to keep up for long; at 20, Flash of Light and Consecration finally round out both your healing and your damage. Intellect doesn't raise spell power, so build up gear with bonus healing through Blacksmithing.
• ProtectionTankLv 20 · 0/0/11→Early on, Protection fights with auto-attacks plus Holy Strike and Judgement, and out in the world a two-hander beats a one-hander and shield. Retribution Aura and Righteous Fury at 16 let you hold threat in dungeons, and at 20 Consecration plus spell power on your gear make damage, threat and mana all comfortable. Your talents go into saving mana so you can keep Consecration going.
