LEVELING GUIDE

WoW Forever Balance Druid Leveling Guide

Balance kills one enemy at a time from range with . 's base damage is lower, but spell power gear turns straight into damage, and mana is your real limit — pick your fights and expect to drink more. Treat a spell power weapon, early consumables, professions and dungeon gear as part of leveling, not something for later.

Recommended professions

  • Leatherworking
Craft your own spell power leather — from at 10 up to , and . Its adds rested experience at camp.
  • Alchemy
Make your own for spell damage, and place at camp for mana regeneration — a good fit when mana is your biggest limit.

ROUTELevel-by-level route

  1. 5

    Levels 1–5

One target at a time, from range

    • Pull with from range and fight one enemy at a time. Two or more split you between healing and damage and drain your mana fast.
    • Keep up and top yourself off with between fights.
    • Early consumables and professions matter more to Balance than to any other leveling spec. Pick up Leatherworking and Alchemy right away and keep and on hand. Cooking, First Aid and Fishing don't use your two profession slots, so level them too.

  2. 9

    Levels 6–9

    Thorns and roots

    • Keep up at all times. It locks in your spell power when cast, so apply it with your spell power gear and elixir on.
    • At 8, hold the enemy at range with and cast . Recast roots when it breaks free.
    • If your mana can't keep up, melee in caster form: one , and auto attacks, with between fights. It's slower but more consistent.

  3. 12

    Levels 10–12

Spell power weapon and Improved Wrath

    • From level 10, caster weapons carry spell power. Swap to a spell power staff, dagger or mace from dungeon drops or quest rewards — it's the single biggest boost to your damage while leveling.
    • Start your talents with . With all five points, becomes a 1.5-second cast and costs less mana.
    • Craft , and with Leatherworking, and swap to at 12. Switch your food to .
    • The level 10 class quest gives , but as Balance you keep hunting in caster form.

    Levels 13–16

    First dungeons and Moonglow

    • Prioritize dungeons while leveling — gear upgrades change how Balance feels more than new spell ranks do. The Hall of Thanes and Ragefire Chasm open at 13, Ruins of Lordaeron at 15 and The Deadmines at 16.
    • In dungeons you are the backup healer. Don't spend all your mana on damage; keep enough for and . Use to hold a runner or a caster out of the pack so the tank and healer have less to manage.
    • From 15, take . It lowers the mana cost of your damage spells and is the most important leveling talent — mana, not damage, is what holds Balance back.
    • Craft and at 15 with Leatherworking, and add spell power to chest, legs, hands or feet with .
