The Scarlet Crusade began as a human order fighting the Scourge and has slid into fanaticism; this monastery in Tirisfal Glades is its stronghold. The Armory wing leads through the Training Grounds and armories to the Hall of Champions, where Herod, the Scarlet Champion, waits.

Entrance The Scarlet Monastery at the eastern end of Tirisfal Glades (85.1, 31.4) — each wing has its own entrance

A straight run through Scarlet soldiers in the Training Grounds and armories to a single boss, Herod. When Herod dies a wave of trainees charges in, so keep resources in reserve until the end.

Before you go

  • The Scarlet Monastery is four wings — Graveyard, Library, Armory and Cathedral — each with its own entrance and instance. Groups usually level through them in that order.
  • Herod's Whirlwind hits everyone nearby while it spins; ranged and healers should keep their distance.
  • Herod for Into The Scarlet Monastery (Horde) and In the Name of the Light (Alliance) is in this wing.
  • The Horde quest Hearts of Zeal collects the Hearts of Zeal dropped by Scarlet bosses and mobs in all four wings.
