The Scarlet Crusade began as a human order fighting the Scourge and has slid into fanaticism; this monastery in Tirisfal Glades is its stronghold. The Library wing runs through Houndmaster Loksey's Huntsman's Cloister into the Athenaeum and Arcanist Doan's Gallery of Treasures.

Entrance The Scarlet Monastery at the eastern end of Tirisfal Glades (85.1, 31.4) — each wing has its own entrance

The Library wing, guarded by Houndmaster Loksey and Arcanist Doan. Scarlet soldiers stand close together, and several quest books are picked up in the Athenaeum. It is straightforward as long as you escape Doan's detonation at half health.

Before you go

The Scarlet Monastery is four wings — Graveyard, Library, Armory and Cathedral — each with its own entrance and instance. Groups usually level through them in that order.
Quest books picked up in the Athenaeum: Mythology of the Titans (Alliance), Compendium of the Fallen (Horde), The Beginnings of the Undead Threat (Horde, Test of Lore) and Rituals of Power (mages).
Into The Scarlet Monastery (Horde) and In the Name of the Light (Alliance) need Loksey (here), Herod (Armory) and Mograine and Whitemane (Cathedral).
The Horde quest Hearts of Zeal collects the Hearts of Zeal dropped by Scarlet bosses and mobs in all four wings.
